What information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you complete an enquiry or quotation form we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the type of door you are interested in and anything you write in the message field.
  • Information collected automatically. Our server records the IP address a form was submitted from, together with the date and time, to help us identify spam and fraudulent submissions.
  • Information from your device. Our website uses small files stored in your browser to keep the site working correctly and to remember your preferences. See “Cookies and similar technologies” below.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To supply, install and guarantee your doors. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • To keep records of quotations, orders, installations and guarantees. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running the business and our legal obligations.
  • To protect the website from spam and abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have specifically asked us to. If we ever do, every message will include an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do share it with:

  • our web hosting and email providers, who store the enquiry on our behalf;
  • installers and surveyors working on your job, where that is necessary to carry out the work;
  • professional advisers, or a regulator or law enforcement body, where we are legally required to do so.

Some of our pages embed Google Maps so you can find us. When a page containing a map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. That processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Records relating to an order, installation or guarantee are kept for the length of the guarantee plus six years, so that we can honour it and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies that are necessary for the website to function, such as remembering the contents of a basket and keeping your session secure. Embedded content from third parties, such as Google Maps, may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have your information deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and access to enquiry data is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

Children

Our services are aimed at homeowners and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
